Community Support

Alberta Beef Producers’ long standing tradition as a caring and responsive community member is unquestioned. Whether it be through the provision of small or large donations, goods, or services, ABP is committed to supporting Albertans in any, and all ways we can.

All Alberta communities are unique in their needs and their aspirations and ABP is proud of the role we play as a key enabler in helping them reach their goals. By pooling our resources with a wide variety of partners, we are able to serve a broad spectrum of people and community needs through creative solutions that are both value-added and sustainable. Over the last five years alone ABP has donated over $250,000 to numerous charities, organizations, and schools through funding and promotional items.

ABP actively participates in various community wellness programs with the goal of enriching the lives of the people of Alberta. It is the belief of ABP that strong families lead to strong communities. Through recreational, social, and health programs ABP is helping to strengthen many families and communities of Alberta.

The importance of education to communities and the cattle industry is also a prime objective for ABP. Our “Beef in the Classroom” program reaches over 5,000 students in grades nine through 12 in 90 schools each year. Using a curriculum based program, ABP is able to teach students about the importance of nutrition, environmental care, and animal safety. Sponsorship

Unfortunately, due to budget constraints and market conditions, Alberta Beef Producers is no longer able to accept or to approve sponsorship proposals. We make this decision reluctantly and regretfully.

For nearly forty years, ABP has been a staunch supporter of communities throughout the province, proud of its ability to help those seeking sponsorship to meet their goals, large and small. Due to our current economic situation, however, we can no longer support such activities. We hope that the many charitable and community-based organizations in Alberta who looked to ABP for support in the past are able to successfully carry on bettering the lives of the residents in this great province.
